Join our Accounting team as an Intern where you will gain hands-on experience with various accounting tasks, including credit application management, invoice processing, month-end close, and compliance with our internal systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a professional setting, working alongside experienced accountants and contributing to the success of our organization.
This position is expected to start around January 2025 and continue through the entire Spring 2025 term (estimated through April 2025). We ask for a minimum of 10 weeks, part-time and on-site, for internships.
In This Role\nMaintain and update resale certificate records to ensure accurate documentation using Avalara \nSupport the processing and evaluation of credit applications for new customers, including verifying financial information as needed\nRespond to customer requests for documentation in a timely manner\nAssist with the processing of invoices, including verifying accuracy, matching purchase orders, and resolving any discrepancies\nTroubleshoot invoice-related issues and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve problems efficiently\nEnsure compliance with procurement system to maintain system data and accuracy\nReview expenses at a cost center level to verify accuracy and provide insights into trends\nPrepare reconciliations and submit for review utilizing Blackline \nParticipate in month end close process, assisting with preparation of necessary reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations as needed\nWork with functional leaders and other internal groups to build scalable processes \nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team \nOther duties as assigned by Management \n
The Ideal Person\nCurrently pursuing an Accounting or Finance degree \nKnowledge of basic accounting principles preferred \nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal \nAttention to detail, thorough, and organized \nGood time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks \nAbility to collaborate within a team setting\nAble to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects \n
