Position Summary

What to Expect?

In this 12-week developmental internship, you will have an opportunity to gain exposure to finance, accounting, and much more.  You will learn a variety of accounting processes from auditing to participating in a physical inventory and fiscal year-end audit.   In addition, you will learn a variety of finance processes including financial statements, analyzing the general ledger, inventory management, and finance software.  You’ll hone important skills, such as networking and project management.  Throughout your internship, you’ll receive regular feedback, guidance and coaching to help you develop the skills you need to succeed. 

 What YOU will do:

You will gain hands-on experience learning techniques to reconcile and resolve accounting discrepancies on the general ledger and learn methods of analyzing the general ledger. In addition, you will gain understanding of the audit requirements by assisting an auditor with workpapers.  You will also learn important financial processes around general ledgers, inventory processes and have an opportunity to participate in a year-end audit.   This will deepen your knowledge of business and finance principles! You will develop relationships throughout the organization with multiple resource partners and leaders. Building relationships is the core of what we do! Engage in a variety of impactful projects. This will test your project management skills!

Qualifications AND Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting, Finance or related field, rising Junior or rising Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or above Must be willing to relocate or available to work in our headquarters in Westfield, IN Ability to lift up to 20 lbs Ability to travel for physical inventory, approximately 4 days Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
