ResponsibilitiesThe Accounting Internship is one discipline of IDEMIA North America’s 12-week Summer Internship Program. As an Accounting Intern, you will provide invaluable assistance to leaders in IDEMIA’s accounting department, assisting in audits, financial reporting and more. The Accounting Internship will provide the intern with direct access to the financial proceedings of a multinational corporation, giving them firsthand experience of the inner workings of corporate accounting. The intern will be an integral member of the accounting team and will provide administrative support to staff.
A successful candidate will have exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills, and the ability to solve issues quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.Working with bookkeeping software and online spreadsheets, and databases.Observe and learn from financial staff to gain hands-on experience.Assisting with month-end financial reports.Post journal entries and assist with the production of financial statements.Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.Assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.Attending meetings and seminars to expand knowledge of the accounting field. Qualifications You are a college junior, senior, or recent graduate majoring in Finance or Accounting with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0Must be authorized to work in the USProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent organizational skillsStrong critical thinking skillsAbility to come into the office each working dayPreferred Qualifications:
