Accounting Manager, Cash

Your job is more than a job

The Accounting Manager, Cash provides assistance and support to the Director of Treasury in the management of the financial functions and its personnel. Responsible for overseeing and optimizing cash flow by monitoring incoming and outgoing funds, forecasting future cash needs, managing bank accounts, implementing cash management strategies, and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements, all while minimizing risks associated with cash handling and maximizing returns on cash assets. Handles all aspects related to internal controls, internal auditing, payroll and coordination with accounts payable. Reviews financial results, performs other ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as requested. Ensures financial functions conform to the policies and procedures standards established by the Board and management.

Your Everyday

GENERAL DUTIES

Lead and manage a team of cash accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Allocate tasks, set priorities, and ensure the team's productivity and effectiveness.Oversee daily cash reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.Investigate, delegate, and resolve discrepancies in cash transactions.Review and reconcile bank statements regularly to identify and address discrepancies.Ensure that all bank transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.Provide accurate cash balance information and reports to support financial decision-making.Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain cash flow forecasts.Ensure compliance with internal control policies and financial regulations related to cash accounting, while enforcing security protocols to safeguard cash.Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.Provide ongoing training and mentorship to cash accountants to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

5 Years in Cash Accounting, Treasury or Financial Analysis - preferably in corporate setting.


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Preferred: CPA or relevant certification.  

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Workday is a plus.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
