Role overview : Accounting Manager

What will I be doing?

Oversee the daily accounting functions of A/R, A/P and G/L to ensure accounting records are kept in compliance with the group accounting policies. Monitor and supervise the month end closing to ensure all management reports are submitted on time and accurate. Oversee the total cash position of company to maximize the company's fund usage. Compile various periodic analytical reports for Financial Management Report and review the financial impacts on variances in General Expenses and Shared Services vs. budget and best estimates; provide cash flow analysis Communicate with Research Departments regularly to understand and provide necessary support to them  Responsible for the statutory audit/VAT/Tax filing of Korea to ensure audit deadline is met. Participate in the group internal audits to make sure proper control procedures are in place. Work with the respective project directors to ensure all overdue accounts receivable are monitored and necessary actions are being taken.  Supervise the Korea Accounting Team to make sure appropriate guidance and directions to subordinates are given. Review the existing internal control system and make recommendations on the existing work procedures so as to improve the efficiency. Assist in the annual budget and best estimates process to understand the budget and best estimates components of each division. Assist in the set-up of new accounting software to ensure it meets our accounting requirement. Provide support to Group Financial Controller for ad hoc reporting so as to meet the tight reporting deadlines. Provide tax advisory to the business(such as applicable services tax and withholding tax from other countries, etc.)
  

What do I need to bring with me?  

Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar qualification Minimum 10 years of  relevant experience Excellent communication skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle is preferable
