Accounting Manager (45899-5)

DUTIES:
1. Oversee, direct, and monitor all accounting department activities.
2. Work closely with the General Manager to maintain smooth operation of accounting and any other departments.
3. Provide financial information -Ramen business and Golf business- to executives timely and accurately.
4. Provide Consolidated Financial reporting to Corporate HQ monthly as well as other requested reporting.
5. Ensuring that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation.
6. Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions are outsourced.
7. Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
8. Manage, prepare, and monitor the general ledger, financial reports, budgetary reports and forecast in accordance with annual strategic operating plans.
9. Manage cash flow planning and day-to-day cash requirements.
10. Monitor and authorize bank accounts for payments.
11. Negotiate and arrange the funding requirement with financial institutions.
12. Monitor all tax related compliance matters.
13. Monitor credit risks with customers and suppliers.
14. Oversee external & internal audit process.
15. Develop a new transaction scheme as necessary.
16. Advise staff regarding handling of non-routine transactions.
17. Monitor required authorization processes (approval process) in accordance with the company’s authorization policy and procedures.
18. Support in selecting and implementing the accounting software and train the employees to use it effectively.
19. Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks.
20. Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
21. Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
POSITION: Accounting Manager
SALARY: $80 – 100K HOURS: 8am-5pm DAYS: M-F
22. Responsible for the maintenance of internal control particularly relevant to accounting business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced knowledge and experience of U.S. GAAP financial reporting and internal control over financial reporting.
2. Advanced knowledge and experiences of Federal, State and Local tax laws and regulation.
3. In-depth knowledge of current accounting systems -Dynamic GP- including initialization processes.
4. Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office. Exceptional math skills.
5. Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
6. Strong leadership skill to guide and to motivate the department staff and communication skills.
7. Ability to establish/modify accounting procedural standard, policy, and manuals of the Company.
8. Strong interpersonal relationship skill to work together with other department managers to manage accounting and financing matters.
9. Accounting Degree is required.
10. 7+ years of finance and accounting experience.
11. Japanese language is preferred.
12. CPA and/or CMA is preferred.
13. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
