Accounting Manager

Your Leadership
The Accounting Manager is responsible for billing items related to owner house accounts, vendor payments in relation to charges to house accounts, account reconciliation and rental revenue. This role assists the Director of Finance and Controller in directing the financial activities of the residential associations, the Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) and the Vacation Owners Association (VOA). This role will report to the Controller. We are looking for a highly-skilled, detail-oriented Accounting Manager who excels at multitasking. The Accounting Manager will act as a point of contact between the different parts of the accounting department, other departments within the resort, accounts payable, accounts receivable and external parties, such as guests. You may handle bookkeeping, assist in audits, and resolve discrepancies. You should be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy. To succeed as an Accounting Manager, you should be ethical, thorough, and attentive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Overseeing day-to-day finance operations related to the AOAO and the VOA.
+ Assisting with account collections. Posting incoming payments to accounts and generating account aging.
+ Monitoring and managing relationships with vendors for charges posted to house accounts.
+ Managing all owner inquiries/requests for financial information.
+ Sending out the AOAO owner monthly house account billing and answering questions from owners related to such. Researching and resolving inquiries. Methods of communication with owners to include telephone calls, email correspondence, and in-person interactions.
+ Send out the monthly AOAO (maintenance fees) dues invoices. Researching and resolving owner monthly AOAO dues inquiries. Methods of communication with owners to include telephone calls, email correspondence, and in-person interactions.
+ Send out the annual and quarterly VOA (maintenance fees) dues invoices. Researching and resolving owner VOA dues inquiries, Methods of communication with owners to include telephone calls, email correspondence, and in-person interactions.
+ Sending out the monthly Montage rental revenue statements to owners and answering questions from owners related to such. Methods of communication with owners to include telephone calls, email correspondence, and in-person interactions.
+ Working with hotel accounting systems including Opera, Birchstreet, Great Plains, and Owner Relations.
Must Haves
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
+ Must have three years of experience in accounting, financial analysis and analytical work, preferably in a hotel finance environment.
+ Previous experience with Opera is preferred.
+ Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
+ Must possess initiative and drive; have broad relevant financial knowledge with strong management and leadership skills.
+ Highly ethical
+ Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur

Physical Requirements
+ Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.
+ Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
+ Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
+ Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
+ Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

The pay scale* for the Accounting Manager is $75,000 - $81,000.
*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
