\n \n Job Description

The Accounting Manager for our RHOME rental division is responsible for gathering, analyzing, verifying, and the reporting of financial information and accounting production queues. The Accounting Manager may be responsible for hiring, training, and coaching subordinates, as well as enforcing corporate company policies, rules, and procedures. The Accounting Manager is responsible for and will oversee certain financial objectives. The Accounting Manager will help guide other departments/divisions/branches by applying observations and recommendations to their financial operations. The Accounting Manager may also be responsible for updating company information by participating in any educational opportunities that can advance the company’s current financial model.

This role supports our clients and employees by supervising the Rental accounting team. Our company leverages accounting experience and knowledge to create a support team to provide guidance, escalation resolution, and strategy design for our company’s growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

\n\nManage the daily activities of the Rental accounting department.\nCollect and provide information for audit inquiries and give assistance to auditors.\nAssist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget and accounting.\nOversee the posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments.\nProvide financial analysis statements including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.\nVendor setups and year end 1099 processing.\nOversee month end close.\nReview bank and balance reconciliations.\nOther duties as assigned.
\n\n Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

\n\nProperty Accounting experience preferred, but not required.\nExperience with Yardi, AppFolio, Rent Manager or other major accounting software preferred.\nKnowledge of GAAP at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at an expert level.\nKnowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nStrong organizational skills.\nDynamic leadership talent to support team of 3-5 staff.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nInterpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nConfidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nBachelors Degree Required\nMasters Degree Preferred\n7 - 10 years of directly related or closely related experience\n3 - 5 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience\n\n

Travel Requirements

\n\nLimited travel may be required (in metroplex)\n\n
