Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Accounting Manager, Agency will take the financial lead within the EVERSANA accounting team in establishing and directing accounting processes for the Agency Service Line of EVERSANA. The Accounting Manager, Agency is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations including posting and reviewing entries to the general ledger, analyzing data and collaborating with employees throughout the organization.  This position also works with third party auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, controls, and external auditsSupervise a team of 3-5 Accounting professionals, overseeing the allocation of both regular and special tasks.  Conduct annual and mid-year performance evaluations.Oversee and coordinate the full cycle general ledger financial close process including meeting established month end close deadlines for preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packagesOversee the account reconciliation process and lead the resolutions of issues on assigned account to ensure proper and accurate reportingAssist with review, recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactionsIdentify areas of concern in accounting records and provide proactive analysis and support to the companyPrepare audit schedules and work with auditors on questionsRecommend and implement improvements to accounting plans, procedures and policiesLead the accounting integration of Agency acquisitionsIdentify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvementsCapable of communicating with all levels within the organizationServe as backup to other roles within the Finance department as neededAll other duties as assigned.

Responsible for and oversee Agency accounting team members including training, coaching, development and evaluationReview work performed by Agency accounting team members including journal entries and reconciliations to ensure they are properly supported, complete, accurate, and in compliance with U.S. GAAP

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education B.B.A. in AccountingExperience and/or TrainingMinimum 5-7 years’ experience in an Accounting roleExtensive knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and significant experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packagesExperience in supporting International Subsidiaries in a Global environmentExperience in the management of teams including coaching, mentoring and providing verbal and written performance feedbackPrior experience in preparation and/or review of periodic journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactionsDetail oriented with strong organization skillsProven ability to work independently, yet function effectively within a collaborative team environmentTechnology/Equipment Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and accounting systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and/or Training –Public Accounting experience a plusLicenses/Certificates – CPA preferredTechnology/Equipment – Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $102,000 to $120,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
