DuraServ Corp is looking for an up-and-coming accounting and finance professional for the position of Senior Accountant. We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking accounting professional with high ethical standards who can relate to people at all levels of our organization. The ideal candidate will be results oriented with core accounting experience and will thrive while operating in a dynamic, growth oriented, entrepreneurial environment. 

Essential Functions 

Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts  Plays a key role in the month end closing process Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts  Assisting with initial internal control evaluations  Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals  Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits Assist with other projects and analysis as needed 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective analytical skills to sort, check and verify accounting figures. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a face-paced environment. Careful attention to detail Good communication skills Familiarity with enterprise business systems.Strong Microsoft Office application knowledge (especially Excel) Advance accounting, finance, or administrative experienceEarly Public Accounting experienceCPA is a plus.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times In office environment 

Travel

This job requires no planned business travel.

 Education and Experience

Required Bachelor’s degree in accounting Master's degree (Preferred) Experience in technology platforms especially in the functions of configuration, reporting, dashboards, and data management
