About the Role:
Richmond Community Services is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager assumes the primary responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, general ledger maintenance and analysis, internal audits, and supervision of departmental staff. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your major end result will be to maintain the financial health of the organization and ensure the continuity of care for the individuals we serve. You will be a key player in driving the success of our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
+ 4+ years of experience in accounting, including previous managerial/supervisory experience.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Valid NYS driver's license and access to vehicle to transport self between agency sites.
Responsibilities:
+ Produce all monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
+ Review all general ledger accounts and subsidiary journals to ensure accuracy.
+ Responsible for internal audit function of the agency.
+ Direct the day-to-day activities of accounting staff.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
+ Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
This role is a full-time exempt position as defined by the FLSA.
