As an Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with maintaining a high-performing team, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting records and procedures. Please reach out to Molly Gardner for immediate consideration. 816-601-1196 Responsibilities: • Oversee and guide the professional development of staff through goal-setting and regular progress monitoring • Manage the execution and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and internal reporting • Develop and implement efficient procedures for department work, focusing on accuracy and resource utilization • Conduct regular reviews of work papers, analyses, and other documentation supporting the monthly close process and month-end balances • Ensure the integrity of data from our ERP and reporting systems, including the implementation of new systems • Support annual financial audits by providing necessary backup documentation and explanations • Assist in financial budgeting and forecasting and support management initiatives including process standardization and simplification • Ensure adherence to internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley compliance on a consistent basis • Collaborate with other departments to collect information required for financial analysis and variance resolutions • Handle integration of acquired companies or properties as required. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of accounting or finance. • Proven expertise in Continuous Process Improvement, Business Process Improvement, Process Implementation, and Project Management Process Improvement. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred. • Experience in the IT Consulting industry is highly desirable. • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team, exhibiting leadership qualities. • Proficiency in accounting software and related technologies. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry practices. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines. • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. • Proven skills in strategic planning and execution, contract negotiation, and change management. • Must have a strong ethical standpoint with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaborative skills.
