Jamie Benway with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our team in TUALATIN, Oregon. In this role, you will be instrumental in the financial sector of our team, focusing on the management and processing of financial data. You will have a hand in the growth of our business, playing a key role in the accounting department.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports on a regular basis and providing these reports to company executives
• Managing and supervising the accounting department's daily operations by setting expectations and goals, while also encouraging a high level of performance and continuous improvement
• Reviewing and ensuring application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures
• Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for federal funders, foundations, investors and company’s board of directors
• Overseeing the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
• Coordinating with the senior management team to formulate strategic and operational objectives
• Exercising the control over the month end close process to ensure accurate and timely reports
• Enhancing and implementing financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
• Hiring, developing and managing the accounting team

Requirements • Proven experience in a managerial role within the accounting sector
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficient with accounting software and related technologies
• Excellent analytical skills for financial forecasting and budgeting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Exceptional communication skills for liaising with senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is desirable
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
