Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity with potential for hire for an Accounting Manager in the equipment maintenance / service industry. This role is based in Tampa, Florida, and will require a hybrid of in-office and remote work. The Accounting Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities, from managing a team of accountants to implementing SOX controls and handling special projects. Responsibilities: • Oversee a team of accountants, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed in a timely and accurate manner. • Review and clean up general ledger entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to facilitate accounting functions and improve efficiency. • Handle special projects as assigned, using problem-solving skills and accounting expertise to achieve desired outcomes. • Implement and maintain SOX controls, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. • Perform balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. • Audit financial information regularly, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies or issues. • Manage team performance, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster a positive and productive work environment. • Leverage knowledge of accounting functions and processes to optimize operations and achieve financial objectives. • Collaborate with the Controller and other key stakeholders, providing comprehensive and accurate financial reporting and insights.
