Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our client in the Non-Profit sector based in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves supervising bookkeeping activities, refining processes in QuickBooks, managing budgets, and controlling aspects of Accounts Payable. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity on a part-time basis. It is hybrid in the South Loop neighborhood. Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage bookkeeping activities • Streamline and refine processes within QuickBooks for efficiency • Oversee and manage budget allocation and utilization • Control aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy and timeliness • Utilize experience in Non-Profit Accounting to ensure compliance and efficiency • Monitor and manage financial records for accuracy and completeness • Resolve any accounting discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner • Ensure the financial procedures comply with regulations and standards in the non-profit sector • Work with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement • Use QuickBooks skills to maintain and improve financial systems and procedures. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Must have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role preferably within the non-profit sector. • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Understanding of non-profit accounting principles and regulations. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
