STA Accounting Manager
Position purpose:
Accuracy and correctness of Iberia entities Balance Sheet and P&L statements.
Coordinate and check month-end close tasks transferred to GBS.
Support the preparation of the Annual Accounts and Official Books.
Ensure full monthly reconciliation between IFRS and Spanish PGC books.
Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of Financial statements and Reporting Package.
Perform general administrative tasks related to the function
Be involved in different tasks related to AP and Assets
What will you do – responsibilities:
Financial Statements (IFRS and Spanish PGC):
Check month end closing tasks performed by GBS team.
Ensure all OPEX and Marketing expenses are correct and timely booked (including accruals).
Ensure completeness and accuracy of Intercompany agreements.
Ensure accuracy of Iberia entities Financial Statements under IFRS and Spanish PGC rules
Prepare Analytical Income Statement – P/L per intercompany contracts.
Ensure effective implementation of any system changes in order to comply with the legislation.
Cooperate with the partners (GBS, FP&A, P&C, Tax & Treasury, etc).
Financial Reporting (IFRS and Spanish PGC):
Ensure accuracy and completeness of Reporting Package.
Ensure reconciliation between SAP4 and BW reporting tool, including HQ adjustments postings if necessary.
Ensure full monthly reconciliation between IFRS and Spanish PGC books (including the analysis of differences arisen between the two).
Statutory Accounts:
Ensure accuracy and completeness of Financial Statements under Spanish PGC..
Ensure that Annual Accounts Package (i.e. Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Notes to Annual Financial Statements, Non Financial Statement, etc.) is prepared accurately and on time.
External audit:
Support the relationship with external audits.
Coordinate and ensure timely preparation and submission of the information requested.
Provide support to external auditors when performing the field work.
Who are we looking for – requirements:
University degree in Finance, Master in Accounting/ Auditing would be a plus
Experience in a multinational company for a minimum of 5 years in a similar position or as Auditor at a Big 4 firm
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Strong Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and Spanish statutory would be a plus
Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP4 experience (preferably)
