Accounting Manager
Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description Ensure timely and accurate postings of monthly accounting activities for reliable, consistent, and comparable financial information. Support day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations for the accounting department including extensive knowledge of GAAP compliance. Responsibilities + Support day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations for the accounting department. + Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff, setting direction and reviewing deliverables. + Perform account reconciliations, sub ledger and general ledger accounts. + Manage monthly general journal entries, bank reconciliation, asset and depreciation tracking, and Month end closing processes. + Prepare month end financial statements and KPIs for review. + Maintain general ledger accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet. Essential Skills + Accounting Manager experience with nuts and bolts US GAAP accounting knowledge. + Proficiency in Oracle. + Experience in manufacturing, finance, month end closing, and budgeting. + 5+ years in an accounting manager role. + Extensive knowledge of GAAP compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Extensive controllership experience in a manufacturing environment. + Prioritizing experience over educational requirements, though CPA or masters would be advantageous. + Implementation experience, especially ongoing Oracle implementation. Work Environment This candidate needs to be onsite in Cudahy every day, with potential flexibility for the right person. The company is undergoing changes within the accounting and finance departments, and any implementation experience would be beneficial. The position is initially for a consultant, with the possibility of a permanent position if there is mutual interest.
