Position Summary:
Onit is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in SaaS accounting, team leadership, and a deep understanding of GAAP technical accounting. This role will oversee three small teams responsible for cash management, accounts payable, and general ledger functions. A key responsibility will be driving these teams to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close. The Accounting Manager will also assist in responding to tax notices and ensuring that sales tax is reviewed and filed on time through Avalara. This position will utilize Sage Intacct to manage the general ledger across multiple Onit entities, both in the US and internationally, ensuring accurate reconciliations for each account. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a proven track record of leading teams to consistently meet deadlines and achieve goals. This role reports to the SVP, Corporate Controller, and offers significant mentorship and growth opportunities for candidates looking to advance to the next stage of their career.

Key Responsibilities:Responsible for leading the various teams through month close each month.Ownership of ensuring that the teams under them are trained with proper training documentation and that execution of the teams is regularly monitored.Ensure that accounts payable are paid timely and that cash levels are closely monitored.Ownership to ensure prepaids and fixed assets are properly recorded by the team.Leadership required to ensure all accounts in the US and Internationally have proper reconciliations and reviews.Ensure that sales tax is reviewed and filed timely leveraging Avalara.Responsible for weekly reporting on cash forecast and the accounts payable trend.Coordinate with leadership on monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.Lead and/or participate in ad hoc projects. Projects may include collaborations with other departments.Handle any other activities or tasks deemed necessary and appropriate by the leadership team.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degreeCPA and/or MBA is a plus2 years minimum team leadership a requirementExperience in a SaaS business (preferred)Ability to communicate and collaborate well with multiple business partners across the company and display strong initiative to anticipate and meet business demands of senior managementAbility to work well independently with minimal supervision and a high degree of ownershipProficient in standard business system tools including Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with Intacct and/or other accounting software
