EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience Formal training and in-depth experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, local, state, and federal tax regulations, and financial analysis & reporting Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

PAY

$115,000 - $135,000/ year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

SUMMARY 

Under direction of the controller, ensures that all required financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner according to corporate policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations and laws. Supports the controller in delivering on monthly performance targets, maintaining a structured compliance environment, and successful execution of business initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Own the monthly general ledger closing and reconciliation process. Support development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for the location. Lead the completion of monthly financial control procedures to ensure the location meets Howmet audit/ASAT/SOX requirements. Provide accurate and timely reporting/forecasting/planning for the location. Provide support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditors. Lead development of tools/reports to facilitate operations to meet the financial plan. Ensure strict adherence to code of conduct and corporate policy. Create an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectations. Large focus on development of accounting personnel. Develop processes and tools to streamline accounting functions.
