Accounting Manager

Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Byron, MN

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000

Position Summary: An Accounting Manager at Somerby Golf Club oversees financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, supervising accounts payable and receivable, assisting with hourly payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations. They establish internal controls, coordinate audits, and mentor accounting practices while collaborating with department heads to maintain financial stability and support the club’s overall success.

 

Job Tasks (Duties) including but not limited to:

Monthly financial review of team’s financial statements Lead various department special projects initiatives Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers Performing month-end processes Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis Balance sheet reconciliations Financials statement analysis Cash flow forecasting and management Sales & Use tax filings Payroll reconciliations Financial statements audits and reviews Perform end of day procedures and deposits as needed Review and execute member statements Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management

 

Requirements

4-year college degree in accounting or finance preferred 1+ years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Supervisory experience in an accounting department required A self-starter, that can work independently during the month-end close process Personable and can communicate with accountants and non-accountants alike A multi-tasker that can work in multiple sets of books while meeting their required deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent computer skills Accounting software applications experience
