Job DescriptionThe Accounting Manager position is a key management role and will manage all financial activities of the West Division while reporting directly to the Regional Controller – West Division.
The role will have primary responsibility for managing and controlling the accounting and cash-related activities of the company. This will include leadership of the monthly close process, creating and implementing policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues, and creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate. The ideal candidate will want to roll up their sleeves and dive into day-to-day issues, as well as participate as a value-added partner to business operations and analytics teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close process and financial reporting processes.Ensure all financial transactions are completed accurately, occur in accordance with management's authorization, and are timely and accurately recorded in the company's accounting systems.Ensure adherence to the company's accounting policies, and that the policies and financial statements are compliant with GAAP and any other regulatory requirements.Partner with FP&A for the monthly review of financial resultsAssist in the annual business planning and budgeting processActive involvement in ERP system implementationAdjust and maintain a detailed accounting system as requiredAnalyze financial data including costing, pricing, and efficiencyCompile documentation and analysis relative to production/service costsOversee the regional accounting group (2 or 3 accountants)QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university; Master's degree and/or CPA preferredMinimum 7 years accounting experienceExcellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with ERP and MS Office productsExcellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, and presentation skillsHighest level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-changing environmentHighly self-motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasksAdditional InformationBase Salary Range: $125k-145k
