Job Description
As an Accounting Manager in the healthcare space in Central Maryland, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our healthcare practices.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the general ledger, prepare financial schedules, and write journal entries.Maintain cash schedules, inspect account statuses, and transfer cash as necessary to cover disbursements.Ensure the accurate and timely monthly close of all practices and management companies.Make appropriate accruals each month and review G/L coding on invoices before checks are released to ensure accurate coding.Work closely with the team and management to gather all necessary information and explanations.Ensure compliance with Management Services Agreements for all practices and accurate accounting for new practices, including opening balance sheets and subsequent adjustments.Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly and support them with valid details.Review monthly reporting packages for all practices to ensure accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.Ensure timely submission of reporting packages for review and respond to inquiries promptly.Meet corporate reporting deadlines.Provide various practice-specific reports as requested.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of fixed asset records, including depreciation.Implement new fixed asset systems and determine and record discounts/reserves for practices as necessary.Assist in the annual budgeting process for all practices.Maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities.Essential SkillsProficiency in Accounting, General Ledger Management, Month-End Close Processes, Journal Entries, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.Experience in Financial Reporting and Bank Reconciliation.Knowledge and experience in the Healthcare industry.Full cycle and fiscal management experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum of five to ten years of fiscal management experience.Supervisory experience is preferred.Prior healthcare experience is preferred.Local talent is preferred.Work Environment
Initially, you will work four days in the office, transitioning to three days in the office over time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $57.69
