Accounting Manager
Job Title: Accounting Manager Job Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the month-end close process, financial reporting, auditing, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. This role requires collaboration with external CPAs for timely year-end closing and reporting. Responsibilities + Manage the month-end close process and financial reporting. + Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. + Collaborate with external CPA for year-end closing and reporting. + Handle accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P). + Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. + Complete ad hoc projects and analyses as directed. + Manage fee-based and time and material billing. + Oversee payroll and payroll tax processes. + Administer HR functions including benefits management, timesheets, and expense processing. + Reconcile credit card statements. + Advise executive management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting. + Apply for corporate insurance policies. + Maintain and report project costs. Essential Skills + 5-10 years of professional accounting experience. + 5 years of experience with US GAAP (required). + General ledger management experience is required. + Payroll accounting experience is highly preferred. + Deltek Vantagepoint experience (preferred). + High level of expertise in Excel is required. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or comparable degree. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Familiarity with professional services accounting is preferred. Work Environment This role is based onsite Monday through Friday. You will be working within a small, very established, and stable company with growth potential. The position reports to the CFO based in Orlando, with company offices located in various locations. The Accounting Manager will handle all aspects of the accounting process, some HR and payroll, and will play a crucial role in a team of 15+ employees in the USA.
