Description We are currently seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to for a contract engagement at our client, located south of Portland, OR. This role will involve overseeing the financial activities of the company, providing guidance to the accounting team, and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Implement and manage accounting software systems for streamlined operations • Provide oversight and management to the accounting team • Conduct thorough audits and reviews for financial cleanup • Resolve any accounting issues or discrepancies using your extensive accounting knowledge • Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in managing accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems, preferably QuickBooks. • Strong understanding of auditing procedures. • Demonstrated ability to oversee all aspects of the accounting department. • Ability to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance staff. • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
