Job Description

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Perform additional controller duties as necessary.

ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.Research technical accounting issues for compliance.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Perform additional controller duties as necessary.Essential SkillsProven working experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager.5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Experience with creating financial statements.Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the Manufacturing Industry.CPA or CMA preferred.Skills in Accounting, General Ledger, Journal Entry, Reconciliation, Month-end, Forecasting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves working closely with two accounting assistants and reports to the Vice President. The organization has a rapidly growing environment with a financial scope of $20 million.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69
