Accounting Manager

This role involves overseeing the Accounts Payable Department and Receptionist, performing various accounting tasks personally and through subordinate staff. Responsibilities + Supervise the Accounts Payable Department and Receptionist. + Process subcontract invoices and validate compliance issues such as insurance, certified payroll, and lien waivers. + Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close. + Manage the annual 1099 filing process. + Process daily deposits and follow up on past due clients. + Manage lien waivers and ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end close. + Record and maintain entries for daily repair and maintenance work order information for the equipment yard. + Maintain fixed assets records on Intuit software for financial reporting purposes. + Assist the CFO in preparing required reports for monthly bank reconciliation, tax reports, and fiscal year-end audits. + Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns. Essential Skills/Experience + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field + 5+ years of Construction Accounting/Project Accounting + Full-Cycle AP/AR, Reconciliations, Journal Entries, General Ledger + Experience leading M/Q/Y End Close Process + Balance Sheet, Financial Statement Prep, Financial Reporting + Cost Accounting & Cost/Price Analysis + Large ERP Experience + Experience with TimberScan and Textura (preferred) + Advanced MS Excel Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00 We offer:• Career growth potential• Outstanding company culture: work/life balance, friendly team environment, and employee recognition programs• Opportunity to participate in community outreach programs and other charitable endeavors• Competitive salary Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Oakland,CA.
