Accounting Manager
**Job Summary** The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing key accounting processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role includes analyzing financial information, preparing reports, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. The Accounting Manager plays a vital role in driving efficiency and process improvement within the accounting function, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting leadership in financial decision-making. **Essential Functions** + Oversees the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. + Manages accounting processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. + Ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. + Conducts variance analyses and provides detailed explanations for significant changes in financial results or trends. + Supports audits by preparing required documentation, addressing inquiries, and collaborating with internal and external auditors. + Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. + Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and other departments, to ensure alignment on financial objectives and initiatives. + Prepares financial data and insights to support leadership in strategic planning and decision-making processes. + Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the accounting function and recommends solutions. + Stays up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance and advising on necessary adjustments. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required + 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience required, including general ledger and financial reporting responsibilities required + Experience in a corporate or healthcare setting preferred **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. + Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial data. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. **Licenses and Certifications** + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or + Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred Equal Employment Opportunity This organization does not discriminate in any way to deprive any person of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect the status of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, veteran status, or military or uniformed services, in accordance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
