Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking a leader for the position of Accounting Manager.  This position reports directly to the Division Controller. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Supervise finance and accounting teams, ensuring all records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Oversee and manage period-end accounting close processes, meeting Corporate and Divisional reporting deadlines Manage audit processes and ensure proper internal controls are in place Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment to provide analytical support to other departments on accounting issues Drive continuous cost improvements across all business areas Train and develop department staff to support individual, team, and Division goals

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field 4 or more years of experience in the accounting field with an understanding of GAAP Prior leadership and supervisory experience  Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CFA or MBA  Willing to relocate within Nucor as future opportunities arise
