This position reports directly to the Division Controller. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Supervise finance and accounting teams, ensuring all records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) + Oversee and manage period-end accounting close processes, meeting Corporate and Divisional reporting deadlines + Manage audit processes and ensure proper internal controls are in place + Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment to provide analytical support to other departments on accounting issues + Drive continuous cost improvements across all business areas + Train and develop department staff to support individual, team, and Division goals [[cust_safetyState]] Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in a related field + 4 or more years of experience in the accounting field with an understanding of GAAP + Prior leadership and supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: + CPA, CFA orMBA + Willing to relocate within Nucor as future opportunities arise This position is 100% in-office.
