Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. + Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, prepare regular financial reports. + Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. + Review and analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, statements, and projections as needed. + Research technical accounting issues for compliance. + Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. + Responsible for managing the annual audit process. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + At least two years of hands-on accounting managerial experience. + Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Self-motivated and self-directed; ability to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of work product. + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems and software. + Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and procedural matters. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
