Description Our amazing client is looking for an Accounting Manager for a Contract-to-Hire role based in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will - + Oversee and manage a team of three, consisting of a Staff Accountant and an Accounts Payable Specialist. + Treasury management, including maintaining cash flow and ensuring financial soundness. + Supervise daily accounting operations such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and lease billing. + Prepare and reconcile balance sheets for multiple entities or business units. + Manage the month-end and quarterly close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. + Provide financial oversight and manage cash flow to align with organizational goals. + Prepare financial statements and reporting for the business owner. + Assist in coordinating and supporting external audits as needed. Requirements Must-Haves + Proficiency in Yardi software. + Background in accounting for Commercial Real Estate (preferred) or Residential Real Estate. • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Strong knowledge of auditing principles and practices • Proficiency in managing billing functions effectively • Demonstrated expertise in Audit Prep • Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting tasks would be great • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Understanding of Balance Sheet Account management • Proven track record in conducting Month-end Close Activities • Ability to prepare and analyze Month-end Financial reports Nice-to-Haves + Experience working directly with business owners in a collaborative environment. + Strong ability to work in a structured role without focusing on process improvement initiatives. + A professional demeanor that aligns with a supportive, team-focused culture.
