Accounting Manager
Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description Supervised by the CFO, the Accounting Manager manages and coordinates the company accounting database system by performing various duties personally and through subordinate staff. This role involves supervision of the Accounts Payable Department and Receptionist, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes, and assisting in preparing required financial reports. Responsibilities + Supervise Accounts Payable Department and Receptionist. + Process subcontract invoices and validate compliance issues such as insurance, certified payroll, lien waivers, etc. + Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close for accounts payable and accounts receivable. + Manage the annual 1099 filing process. + Process daily deposits, follow up on past-due clients, and manage lien waivers. + Record and maintain entries for daily repair and maintenance work order information for the equipment yard. + Maintain fixed assets records on Intuit software for financial reporting purposes. + Assist the CFO in preparing reports for monthly bank reconciliation, tax reports, and fiscal year-end audits. + Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. + Experience with Sage 300, SAP, and Intuit software. + Proficiency in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and general ledger. + Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes. + Hands-on accounting experience, including full-cycle accounts receivable. + Experience in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, cost accounting, and payroll. + Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Textura (preferred). + Construction industry experience (plus). + Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts, including interest. + Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. The company is a mid-sized industrial contractor and metal fabricator with annual revenues of approximately $65 million.
