Position Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Spring, TX 77380
Schedule: Hybrid
Responsibilities: Supervise and support a team of 8 direct reports, including 2 Accounts Payable Coordinators, 4 Accounts Billing Coordinators, 1 Senior Accountant, and 1 Accounting Assistant. Lead and manage customer audits. Oversee employee expense reports and related journal entries. Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and addressing discrepancies. Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial record accuracy. Review and approve OI invoices to ensure correct coding and alignment with purchase orders and invoices. Analyze financial data, providing actionable insights to management for decision-making, including preparing accrual and adjusting entries. Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Assist with both internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations. Track and manage sales tax activity, including supporting audit submissions. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of journal entries and reconciliations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role. Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills. High attention to detail. Experience in developing accounting software solutions for new business needs. Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly. Experience in a corporate accounting environment. Familiarity with large ERP systems. Extensive experience with GAAP. Proven ability to evaluate variances at the transaction level. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of internal control components and implementation. Excellent communication skills.
Compensation: $95K++ depending on experience
