Title: Accounting Manager – North American Region Location: Atlanta, GA Grade: 1 3 Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility The NAMER Accounting Manager will report directly to the North America Accounting Senior Manager and is responsible for managing the daily operations of an accounting team including on-time month end close, being responsible for quality balance sheet reconciliations, and providing balance sheet analytics. + Manage, support, and develop an accounting team responsible for full-cycle month - end close and . + Prepare and review account reconciliations and address reconciling item s with timely resolution by assessing root causes to drive process and systems improvement . + Oversee and contribute Balance Sheet Account Flux analytics to ensure complete and accurate accounting transactions within the reporting period. + Contribute to Americas Quarterly Risk Review d ocumentation and track resolution of open risk items. + Contribute to on-time month-end close including preparing accruals, reviewing and approving journal entries, reviewing account trends, and providing analysis as required . + Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities. + Perform, test, and walk through SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc. + Review complex and unusual transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies. + Initiate and l ead ad hoc projects and process improvement with minimal supervision. Basic Qualifications + CPA license + Bachelor’s degree in accounting + 10 + years of related corporate accounting experience + Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting + Microsoft Excel medium to advanced user + Strong analytical skills, ability to research issues in a complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level. + Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to multi-task while working with a variety of individuals in both team and self-directed environments. + Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of management + Ability to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close while driving longer-term projects to successful completion.
