Shimmick is seeking a highly talented **Accounting Manager** based out of **Denver, CO** .

Shimmick takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work ranging from the world's largest wastewater recycling and purification system in California to the iconic Hoover Dam.

**Responsibilities**
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Responsible for accounting matters associated with construction revenue recognition, job cost, and WIP review and reconciliation
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP
+ Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results
+ Serves as a key point of contact on day-to-day accounting matters for the accounting team
+ Utilizes technology to properly account for all accounting transactions
+ Calculates and reviews month-end balancing and journal entries across multiple departments and modules within multiple systems
+ Responsible for communicating month-end results to leadership and ensure team members have tasks completed on time and with accuracy
+ Reviews reports, returns, and other documents as required, including sales tax reports, year-end tax forms, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, and other reports required by clients
+ Onboarding/training and become a “Master User” in the ERP
+ Makes recommendations on how to streamline processes
+ Responsible for complex journal entries and reconciliations, various financial reporting, and audit/team support
+ Oversight over the various accounting modules and activity (AP, AR GL, Job Cost, and Payroll)
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 6 years of related experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
+ ERP and software system experience such as Oracle Cloud, CMiC, NetSuite, Vista Viewpoint, Kofax, or similar systems
+ Previous experience with construction industry revenue recognition and job cost accounting
+ Previous experience with ERP implementations
+ Construction industry experience
+ Federal contracting and compliance experience
+ Experience managing teams
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Hands-on, positive attitude, professional, results-driven, problem solver, accountable
Additional Information:
+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $110,000 - 130,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.

These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
