Accounting Manager
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. In this position, you will be overseeing general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while providing necessary support. You will be developing and implementing accounting policies, managing company assets and conducting audits. You will also prepare financial statements and reports, assist in maintaining and analyzing budgets, and identify opportunities for savings. Responsibilities: • Provide leadership and manage staff by setting objectives, providing feedback, and evaluating performance. • Oversee the General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions. • Develop and implement internal accounting policies and procedures to improve department workflow. • Manage company assets and maintain depreciation schedules and capitalization processes. • Conduct audits on company assets across all locations. • Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports in accordance with GAAP. • Assist in maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted to actual costs. • Collaborate with department managers to analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings. • Contribute financial knowledge and skill on cross-functional company projects. • Monitor emerging technology to automate the accounting process without compromising accuracy and accountability. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting and implement actions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or related field • Proficient with Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Knowledge and use of BlackLine software • Familiarity with Concur software • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Auditing and Billing Functions • Familiarity with Epicor and Epicor Erp systems • Ability to manage Month End Close processes • Experience in performing Depreciation Calculations and managing Depreciation Expense • Understanding of Manufacturing Costs • Strong Financial Analysis skills • Knowledge of GAAP - STAT, GAAP Accounting, and US GAAP • Experience in General Accounting • Proficient in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis • Experience in Audit - Financial • Experience in Annual Financial Reporting • Understanding of Expense Accruals • Ability to manage Cash Balance.
