Accounting Manager
Description

Fluidra is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in West Valley City, UT.

 

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

This Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial accounting, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance and the efficient management of financial processes. Responsibilities include supervising daily accounting activities, managing the month-end close process and supporting audits. The position involves leading a team of accounting employees and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational success, including the company’s global accounting shared service center. A successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail and extensive knowledge of accounting principles and software. Additionally, you will: 

Oversee the general ledger (GL), cost accounting, and inventory accounting, ensuring day-to-day financial operations run smoothly. Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to deadlines  Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and the Global Accounting Manual (GAM). Ensure accurate financial statement preparation and analysis. Oversee month-over-month and budget comparisons of financials and report variances to management Interface with other departments and business units to gather necessary data for accounting analysis and process improvements. Ensure timely closure of books in ERP systems (Epicor, Oracle, and HFM) Review the monthly reporting packages and tie-outs for multiple entities. Review and prepare multiple state sales reports for sales & use tax returns. Coordinate and manage responses to internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion of audit requests. Develop, maintain, and enhance internal control policies and procedures. Monitor and analyze department work to improve efficiency, accuracy, and resource utilization. Coach, develop, and train accounting team members, providing guidance, feedback and development.Collaborate with other finance department staff to support overall goals and objectives. Additional duties and special projects as assigned 

 

WHAT WE SEEK

5+ years of accounting experience within a medium to large sized organization, including 3+ years managerial experience  Manufacturing industry experience, a plus Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS Strong technical accounting and financial analysis capabilities Ability to manage team members effectively Critical decision-making capabilities with a proactive mindset Strong written and verbal communication and ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization  Excellent time management skills to meet goals and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a time-sensitive environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, advanced pivot tables) Experience with ERP systems and related reporting applications (Oracle, Hyperion/HFM and Epicor, a plus.) 

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Business, or Finance Major preferred), or combination of education and equivalent work experience. Certified public accountant accreditation preferred.  WHAT WE OFFER
