Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing financial operations within a tech industry setting. This is a short term contract employment opportunity with a focus on financial review, process improvement and documentation, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes • Review financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the workflow of the finance department • Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations and reporting • Implement advanced process controls to improve efficiency and accuracy • Conduct financial audits and create audit reports for management • Utilize Quickbooks Online for financial management and reporting • Handle process implementation tasks to ensure adherence to industry regulations and company standards. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in auditing, with a focus on financial audits • Solid understanding and experience with general ledger functions • Proficiency in utilizing Quickbooks Online for accounting purposes • Advanced knowledge in process controls and their application in financial management • Proven experience in process improvement, with a track record of enhancing efficiency and accuracy • Experience in implementing new processes in an accounting setting • Managerial experience in an accounting role is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
