Description We are in need of an Accounting Manager at our location in Beltsville, Maryland. This role involves managing all aspects of our accounting functions, utilizing various accounting software systems, and providing consultancy services when necessary. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all accounting operations • Effectively use Accounting Software Systems for financial management • Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll and other related functions • Implement and manage BlackLine for automated financial close operations • Handle Concur for travel and expense management • Operate ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for business process management • Conduct auditing to ensure financial compliance and accuracy • Use Sage FAS - Formerly Best for fixed asset accounting • Provide consulting services to improve financial processes and operations Requirements • Proven experience in managing accounting functions • Proficiency in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations • Expertise in using Sage FAS - Formerly Best software • Strong background in providing financial consulting services • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
