Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year
Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday

Accounting Purpose:
Thrive’s accounting department provides services to property operations, ownership entities and redevelopment. The Accounting Manager will be responsible to ensure high quality and timely services to each group, delivered efficiently in support of Thrive’s goal of 25,000 units by 2025.
Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities:
+ Direct oversight of Client Accounting operations, including:
+ Property Cash Flow monitoring & forecasts
+ Manage monthly accounting cycle and tasks, including:
+ Month End close review
+ Preliminary financial review
+ Journal Entry compliance
+ Bank reconciliation compliance
+ Review monthly reporting packages prior to issue
+ Owner distribution calculations
+ Draw requests, funding schedules
+ Debt service, taxes and insurance management and payment
+ Provide budget support and input
+ Coordinating Year-End Audit requests
+ GL account set up and tree maintenance
+ Supervise and mentor accounting staff
+ Assisting Director of Accounting in treasury management
+ Communicating with clients about their monthly financial deliverables, owner distributions and miscellaneous requests as needed
+ Provide support in new property transition set up process including review of settlement statements and prior period activity review
+ Implement policies and procedures to find and create efficiencies between property operations and accounting
+ Redevelopment accounting management and job cost cash and WIP reconciliations, provide support to Projects team as needed
+ Provide support and training to site managers and regional managers as needed
+ Support roll-out of ancillary property operation systems
Accounting Manager Skills & Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
+ 2-3 years of prior supervisory experience
+ Experience with financial statement preparation
+ Ability to implement and sustain proper accounting controls
+ Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel skills
+ Commitment to continuous improvement of business operations
+ Customer service mindset
+ Experience working with Yardi and/or MRI preferred
+ Experience working with affordable housing preferred
+ Certified Public Accountant preferred
