Accounting Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing company. The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective management of financial operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of four direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold analysis, and production cost tracking.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor laws and accurate employee compensation.Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr.
