Accounting Manager - CONTRACT
Description Management Resources is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager with Construction experience for a client based in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial data, and contribute to process improvements for operational efficiency. This is a 2-3 month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Hurst, TX. Interim Accounting Manager (contract): + Oversee month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. + Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules. + Manage Work In Progress (WIP) reporting and construction accounting, ensuring accurate project cost tracking and reporting. + Utilize Foundation Software to maintain financial records, track budgets, and generate reports for construction projects. + Supervise and provide guidance to the Accounts Payable (AP) team, ensuring accurate processing and timely payments. + Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. + Ensure proper accounting for bonding, including tracking and managing bond-related transactions and reporting. + Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and proactively address issues. + Collaborate with senior management to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts. + Maintain strong internal controls and support audits as needed. Top Keys: + Construction, Bonding, WIP schedules + Month End, Financial Statements, Reconciliations, JE, AP, Payroll + Dependable and works well with others Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within the construction industry. + Proven experience in construction accounting, bonding, and WIP reporting. + Proficiency with Foundation Software or similar construction accounting software. + Strong knowledge of month-end close process, financial statements, and reconciliations. + Experience overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll functions. + Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial data. + Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team. + Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. + Proficient in Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
