Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will manage a team of accountants responsible for the day-to-day of multiple accounting areas including, but not

limited to, fixed assets, leases, cash, and debt.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Assist in management of the accounting staff
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and monthly close process.
• Serve as point of contact for seller’s pre- and post-close of acquisitions including assisting with transfer of vendor bills and post close reconciliations     and true ups
• Manages implementation of new accounting department software and add-ons to NetSuite
• Establish and implement monthly audit process to review accounting and accounts payable transactions
• Prepares weekly cash forecast and distributes to management and executive team. Communicates anticipated borrowing needs based off of               projections.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or           financial reporting standards.
• Work with payroll team to ensure reconciliation between payroll banking transactions and reports provided to accounting used to record payroll           transactions
• Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Prepares local sales & use tax returns and other related returns
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Eight years or more of related experience required.
