Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the non-profit sector, based in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounting activities, overseeing financial reporting, and assisting in the implementation of financial directives in accordance with changes in regulations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day banking activities. • Manage and monitor key accounting activities, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. • Assist in the provision of accurate and timely financial information to help in decision making. • Conduct trainings and presentations on relevant financial changes and compliance matters. • Monitor liquidity and budget projections to ensure solvency. • Assist in the fiscal audit function for accuracy of client authorizations, purchase orders, and payments to providers. • Oversee the billing and collection of reimbursements and funding for services. • Assist program functions in implementing financial changes resulting from new directives or changes in regulations. • Ensure the timely processing of payroll. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting manager/supervisor role, preferably within the non-profit sector. • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. • Must have proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage financial audits. • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • CPA certification is preferred but not required. • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously. • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
