Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description Job Description: A well-established environmental restoration company in Central Washington is seeking a dedicated Full charge accounting manager/Office Manager to join our team. This role will provide key financial and operational support to the company, overseeing a variety of accounting, administrative, and customer service functions. We are looking for an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will also bring an "ownership mentality" to the role and be a vital part of our team. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Management and Supervision: Supervise and manage one front office employee. Fill in at the front office and provide excellent customer service as needed. Accounting and Financial Management: Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes. Balance company checking accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records. Manage loan payments and credit line accounts. Assist in the preparation and filing of taxes. Produce accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly and year-end reporting. Prepare and submit quarterly reports and year-end financial information for external accountants. Ensure financial information is readily available for the company owners upon request. Payroll and Employee Records/union payroll, multi state payroll- Prevailing wage/Union Oversee and manage payroll processing. Maintain employee files and other important employee information. Track and manage employee retirement plan contributions and insurance premiums. Record Keeping and Reporting: Keep detailed records of LLC funds, including disbursements and receipts. Manage interaction with lending institutions and insurance companies, providing requested information as needed. Prepare for and assist with L& I and Insurance audits. Government Contracts and Compliance: Coordinate with project managers and departments for any required financial and operational reports related to government contracts. Assist in compliance with WA State DOT audits and requirements. Customer Service and Team Support: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with managers across various projects and ensure smooth communication. Demonstrate patience, strong interpersonal skills, and courtesy in all interactions. Additional Preferences: Prior experience working with environmental restoration, construction companies or related industries. Experience with government entities, contracts, and audits. Familiarity with the financial processes related to insurance premiums, retirement plans, and lending institutions. Salary 85k-120k DOE Benefits: Medical & Dental for employee & family- at an additional cost) Life and LTD available 3 weeks PTO 401K with 3% match after 12 months Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and office management. Strong proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Experience managing payroll and employee records. experience w/ WIP managing licenses with state or WA, OR, ID and experience with registering new states for the trucking/transportation. Knowledge of government contracts, including working with Washington State Department of Transportation (DOT) and compliance with related audits. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in financial reporting and managing financial transactions. A proactive and positive "ownership mentality" with a strong work ethic.
