Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor located in North Chicago, Illinois. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including coordinating financial activities, overseeing daily financial operations, and maintaining a system of accounting records and techniques within our industry. This is a strategic role that will need to work closely with sales leaders and owners to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities: • Act as the primary contact for external auditors • Coordinate and oversee all financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting • Maintain a standardized system of accounting records and techniques • Oversee the daily financial operations of the business • Manage and balance the general ledger with accurate entries • Handle and report all tax responsibilities on a monthly and quarterly basis • Collaborate with sales leaders and owners to identify and prioritize strategies for profitable growth • Conduct internal audits to assess the organization's financial status • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations • Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments • Work with existing tax accounting firm for financial reporting and tax filings medical, dental, vison, 401k and paid time off Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor. • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is essential for this position. • The candidate should be well-versed with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Solid understanding and execution of Accounting Functions is a key requirement. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory. • Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) is an important criterion. • The applicant should have experience in Auditing. • Competency in executing Month End Close is required.
