Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team based in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, 53158, United States. The role involves handling various accounting functions, managing AP and AR, overseeing billing processes, and utilizing SAP for various tasks. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger system in SAP, ensuring the accuracy of all details including GL Account Numbers, Cost Centers, Account Groupings, Profit Centers, and Allocation mappings. • Guide the team through the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Take charge of Treasury Management, analysis, and reporting to provide insightful financial data. • Supervise the preparation and submission of all monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns. • Develop and sustain departmental Standard Operating Procedures to streamline processes. • Provide support during year-end audit by gathering requirements and consolidating schedules and work papers. • Collaborate with Supply Chain management for the development and maintenance of standard costing analysis including BOM, Labor and Overhead Rates, PPV, Material Ledger, and Standard Costing. • Lead special projects and initiatives, and analysis to drive business growth and improvement. • Assist in the annual budget, planning, and reporting process to ensure financial stability and growth. • Engage actively with various parts of the organization to drive value and continuous improvement. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role within accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in all aspects of accounting functions is necessary. • Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must. • A background in auditing is essential for this role. • Candidate must possess adept knowledge and experience in billing functions. • Proficiency in using SAP software is required. • Experience in month-end close activities and month-end journal entries is necessary. • In-depth understanding of Tax - Sales & Use is a requirement. • Familiarity with Standard Costing is essential. • Experience in budgeting and forecasting is vital for this role.
