Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Carmel, California. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing our organization’s accounting and bookkeeping processes. This includes tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, recording fixed assets, and ensuring timely preparation of assigned account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and timely record and approve vendor invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with fiscal policies and procedures.
• Manage the reconciliation of vendor accounts with the accounting system and oversee business credit card charge, payment, and reconciliation processes.
• Prepare accounts receivable billing for grants and services using accounting software systems and manage the overall collection process.
• Record funds received and prepare bank deposits on a daily/weekly basis.
• Resolve and track chargebacks and assemble and file supporting documentation and authorizations for all restricted gifts, payments, and disbursements.
• Manage the bank feed interface with accounting software systems, recording transactions in conjunction with departmental budgets.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing process, coordinating and reconciling with the fundraising CRM.
• Record monthly and recurring journal entries and prepare account reconciliations as assigned.
• Review and process time and expense tracking data for employees and vendors, recording time to active billable grants and projects.
• Maintain the master chart of accounts, recording fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine software
• Proficiency in using Concur software
• Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge in Auditing procedures
• Experience in Billing Functions
