Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Knoxville, Tennessee. As part of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, managing accounts payables and receivables, and working with various accounting software systems. The role involves leading the team in the accurate and timely execution of accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the execution of accounts payable and receivable tasks
• Utilize various accounting software systems to facilitate work processes
• Lead the team in performing journal entries and month-end close procedures
• Conduct bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage billing functions and ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Assist with the preparation and execution of budgeting and forecasting activities
• Handle sales tax and transportation tax filings to ensure compliance with regulations
• Work on fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Supervise a team of accounting professionals and ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting functions and industry best practices.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Proven ability to manage all Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures
• Skilled in Billing Functions and Journal Entries
• Capable of managing Month End Close procedures
• Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation
• Proven ability to conduct Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Sage 50 software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Holds a University Degree in a relevant field
• Familiar with Sales Tax regulations and procedures
