Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to become a part of our team. This role is critical in our financial operations and strategy, as it involves overseeing the accounting department and ensuring compliance with various financial regulations. This position is based in Santa Barbara, California, 93110, United States. Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, payroll, and treasury. • Accurately develop and maintain financial statements and reports as per GAAP standards. • Utilize NetSuite to improve and automate financial business processes. • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements and manage internal controls over accounting and financial procedures. • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process. • Guide on financial reporting and operational matters. • Direct month-end and year-end processes. • Handle accounts payable/receivable and cash receipts. Requirements • Proven proficiency in Auditing, with a focus on identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures. • Extensive experience with NetSuite, demonstrating the ability to manage financial data and generate reports. • Mastery in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating complex spreadsheets and using advanced functions for financial analysis. • Solid understanding of the General Ledger, including the ability to maintain, review, and adjust entries as necessary. • Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. • Expertise in Financial Reporting, able to prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports. • Proficient in Audit procedures, exhibiting a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and standards. • Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification, showcasing a high standard of knowledge and ethics in accounting. • Experience in preparing and reviewing Monthly Journal Entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, adept at identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
